The Key to Motel Five

How I got the title for my painting is a long story...

Actually, it's a rather short story. The trick is phrasing it so that I don't sound insane.

I was lying in bed awake, thinking. Or, rather, trying not to think so that I could hear myself think, or at least hear what my brain had to say.

What it had to say was "This is the key to Motel Five," and it had the voice of a classmate of mine. I wrote it down on the journal I keep by my bed, and mostly forgot about it until it came time to name my newly minted painting.

On a mostly unrelated note, I should be working on new pieces soon-- when school begins (on the 30th) if not sooner.
